LORI MOEN, 2019 President

LORI MOEN, C.E.M., C.E.P.P, C.S.B.A., has over 25 of diverse and deep experience in the energy management field; contributing to millions of dollars in energy and resource savings through energy accounting, O&M measures, behavior change, equipment upgrades, sustainable design and distributed generation.

In January 2016, Lori was appointed to manage Solutions Design and Management for Customer Energy Solutions at Seattle City Light.  In this role, she will lead a team responsible for cradle-to-grave development of customer solutions across all sectors and markets.  Prior to joining City Light, Lori supervised Puget Sound Energy’s Building Performance Team implementing their RCM, Commissioning and Interval Data programs.  Other experience includes energy-related positions with King County Government, Kent School District, Tacoma Power, Snohomish County PUD and the Department of Energy.

Lori has a bachelor's in Physics and German from Willamette University.  She is a Certified Energy Manager, a Certified Energy Procurement Professional, and Certified Sustainable Building Advisor.  Lori has been an active member of the Association of Energy Engineers, including chartering and serving on the board of the local chapter, and serving as Vice President of AEE Region V in 2013-2014.

CLINT CHRISTENSON, 2018 Past President

CLINT CHRISTENSON, C.E.M., is currently a consultant and instructor providing optimization services for industrial, commercial and institutional customers. He previously served as Senior Buildings Engineer for Pacific Northwest National Laboratories, Senior Energy Engineer with NORESCO, Inc., and the Director of Advanced Solutions for Johnson Controls, Inc. Clint served as the Director of Oklahoma State University's Industrial Assessment Center. His broad experience in energy management has included the conducting of over 150 industrial, commercial, and institutional energy surveys over 20 years. He has published widely in the energy field, and made numerous presentations at national and international conferences.

SAMER ZAWAYDEH, President-Elect

SAMER ZAWAYDEH, C.R.M., R.E.P., is an Independent Engineer internationally recognized energy expert with 26 years of management experience around the world. He worked in the extra heavy steel structure fabrication of power stations and refineries worldwide and on developing several wind energy projects in Jordan. He is working on energy efficiency, renewable energy, utility scale Wind and PV projects development with and he is the first consultant that started implementing Jordan Green Building Guide rating system 2015.

He worked on stakeholder management with several private and international donor agencies like USAID, GIZ, EU, MEDA on conducting energy audits for buildings, proposing energy conservation methods and implementing energy retrofit projects and development of the Photovoltaic Center of Excellence for technicians training in Mafraq-Jordan with sector skills committee development models. And he conducted several in depth studies on energy, water sectors, green economy and PV Sector. He developed training programs and trained over 17,000 people since 2012 in renewable energy and energy efficiency regulatory framework, REEE Economics, green buildings, thermal insulation, project development, best practices, carbon emissions and climate change.

He is a public speaker and a certified Carbon Reduction Manager (CRM), Renewable Energy Professional (REP), and holds several other certifications. He continuously works on energy awareness, capacity building and developing clean energy projects that are secure and affordable. Committed volunteer to the development of the energy sector locally, regionally and around the world through the Association of Energy Engineers network. He served as AEE Secretary (2018-2019), CRM Board Chairman (2018-Present), President of the Jordan Energy Chapter (2015-2017), Secretary of the Jordan Energy Chapter (2017-2019), International Certification Board (2016-Present), Assistant Director for International Membership Development for Special Projects (2014-Present), Student Chapters Mentor (2014-Present), Assistant Director for International Membership Development for Middle East (2012-2014). In addition, he founded five student chapters locally and helped in the startup of four chapters regionally.

Tim Janos, Treasurer

Timothy B. Janos, J.D., C.E.M., C.E.A., C.I.E.P., C.D.S.M., C.S.D.P., B.E.P., Principal of Spectrum Energy Concepts, Inc., is involved in a wide variety of energy-related projects. Virtually his entire 36-year professional career has been dedicated to energy efficiency and energy savings. His extensive background features hundreds of successful energy audits and projects for major clients in the automotive, industrial, educational and commercial facilities sectors. Tim is an International Instructor for the Association, an AEE Fellow and a Member of the AEE Energy Managers Hall of Fame. Besides his technical knowledge and success in saving energy, Mr. Janos has been a tireless promoter of the energy profession both locally and nationally. Thousands have benefited from the meetings, workshops, courses, and lectures he has presented. He was the AEE President in 2006 and has served for 16 years as Chairman of the Certified Energy Manager (CEM) Board. He is currently serving as Chairman of the Certified Energy Auditor (CEA) Board and the Certified Industrial Energy Professional Boards (CIEP).

Buster Barksdale, Secretary
 

GEORGE “BUSTER” BARKSDALE, C.E.M., C.S.D.P., C.D.S.M., served as CEO for CoGen Power Solutions where he led development for several major cogeneration and renewable projects.  Throughout his 40-year career Buster has performed energy audits, designed and installed energy management systems, revised the Air Force maintenance program, revised the Department of Energy’s Energy Savings Performance Contract (ESPC) process.

Buster served as President of the DC Post for 8 years.  He served in various Board positions at AEE including Regional VP and the Director of Government Affairs. Buster chairs the Certification Board for Cogeneration, is a Fellow and was inducted into the Hall of Fame. 

Maryanne Campbell, Region I Vice President

MARYANNE CAMPBELL, Director, Strategic Initiatives, has been with Philadelphia Gas Works (PGW) for 20 years.  Currently, she serves as Director, Strategic Initiatives in the Marketing Department and is charged with developing programs to advance competitive-edge solutions to sell more natural gas and create new market opportunities.

Upon graduating from the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign, Maryanne landed a job on Ronald Reagan’s 1980 Presidential Campaign in Washington, D.C.  She worked for President Reagan’s Press Secretary, Jim Brady in the White House and eventually moved on to other roles in the Administration.  Her energy career was launched when she took a position to work for the Secretary of Energy on the Natural Gas Deregulation Task Force at DOE Headquarters in Washington, D.C. She then moved to Philadelphia and took a position with Gulf Oil, which was undergoing a merger with Chevron Oil.  She worked in public affairs and government relations handling the East Coast business operations for Chevron U.S.A. until she took an appointment in the Bush Administration at the U.S. General Services Administration, Region 3 headquarters in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. A public affairs expert and lobbyist, Maryanne worked for The Marcus Group, a New Jersey firm, and Air Products and Chemicals at their international headquarters in Allentown, Pennsylvania.  She specialized in communication and government relations with respect to environmental and energy systems programs.

An AEE member since 1998, in 2008 she was elected to serve on the local chapter board of the Greater Philadelphia Association of Energy Engineers (GPAEE) and holds the distinction of being the Chapter’s first women board member.  Maryanne was selected to serve on the inaugural International Board of Directors for the Council on Women in Energy and Environmental Leadership (CWEEL) in 2010.  She serves as Chairperson of the Programs/Events & Sponsorship Committee.  Maryanne also serves on the board of the Building Industry Association (BIA) Philadelphia, PA  (2012 – Present) and  was Secretary on the Board of Directors for the Commonwealth Recycled Energy and Economic Development Alliance (CREEDA).  She has had several feature articles published in the American Public Gas Association’s (APGA) national magazine, The Source about CHP and natural gas vehicles.

David Depriest, Region II Vice President

DAVID R. DePRIEST, EIT, is currently the Energy Procurement Manager for the largest printer in North America, Quad/Graphics, Inc.  Quad/Graphics, Inc. currently has over 50 manufacturing locations in North America, 7 sites in Latin America, and a European presence in France and Poland with a labor force exceeding 25,000.  David manages, purchases and contracts for power, natural gas, and propane for the North American footprint.

After completing his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Tennessee Tech he began a 30+ year career in Engineering Management and Maintenance in Greenville, SC with Milliken and Company.  While working at Milliken and Company, David worked to develop the first Predictive Maintenance program for the company and gained certification in Ultrasonic Leak Detection as well as Infrared Imaging technologies.  He was also the first to bring Root Cause Analysis into the maintenance department of Superior Essex in Franklin, TN as their Manufacturing Engineering Manager.

David is active in several energy intervention groups across the US.  He currently sits on the Board of Directors for WIEG (Wisconsin Industrial Energy Group), and is an active participant in WVEUG (West Virginia Energy Users Group), OIEC (Oklahoma Industrial Energy Consumers), Multiple Intervenors in New York and GAM (Georgia Association of Manufacturers).

David remains an active member of AEE Middle Tennessee Chapter and currently holds the 2017 Past President’s role. He acted as the Chairman of the 2nd annual Gary Moody Memorial Golf Scramble Committee that raised over $2000 to be used toward scholarships to students who are attending local universities with a study emphasis in the energy fields.  David was recently inducted into the Legends in Energy at the WEEC event held in 2016.

Rick Lubinski, Region III Vice President

RICHARD “RICK” LUBINSKI, C.E.M., C.E.A., C.D.S.M.P., CSDP, CBEP, is President of think Energy Management LLC, an internationally recognized energy consulting firm with 37 years energy management experience in 38 states plus DC, Canada and the Caribbean. He has conducted over 1,200 ASHRAE level 1, 2, 3 energy audits.  He is also a Life Member of the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE) and serves as the President of the Northern Ohio Chapter of AEE.  He guides C & I clients on demand-side management, supply-side management, performance contracting with M&V and Utility Benchmarking & Disclosure laws, metering and provides MEP project support.

He holds several international professional certifications including: Certified Energy Manager, Certified Energy Auditor, Certified Demand Side Management Professional, Certified Sustainable Development Professional Certified Business Energy Professional, Certified Energy Management Systems Contractor and US EPA Certified U.S. Green Lights Survey Ally.

jerry casey, Region IV Vice President

JERRY CASEY, Vice President of Energy Development for MC Power, focused on Solar and Energy Storage project creation and implementation.  He graduated from the University of Missouri-Rolla in 2006 with a BS in Engineering Management with an emphasis in Industrial Engineering and a minor in Psychology. He has over a decade of experience in the power and automation industries, including contract management, system and process design, business development, equipment specifications and procurement contract development and negotiation, field engineering, and field team management.

Jerry works with potential clients to determine specific solutions to meet their energy and renewable goals. At his most recent role as Project Manager for Kiewit, he managed projects that included electrical load flow studies, motor starting analysis, MV & LV switchgear and transformer replacements and Lightrail Traction Powered DC Substation design and commissioning. Jerry also became one of Kiewit's subject matter specialists on Grid Scale Battery Storage technology.

He is quite involved in the engineering community outside of Kiewit. He is the President for the Association of Energy Engineers – Kansas City (AEE-KC) and recently stepped down from the Board of Governors for the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air-Conditioning Engineers – Kansas City (ASHRAE-KC).  In his free time, Jerry loves running, spending time with his family, singing or playing drums at church, networking/building new relationships, and mentoring the next generation!

Duane Lewellen, Region V Vice President

DUANE LEWELLEN, C.E.M., is a Senior Project Manager with the Northwest Energy Efficiency Council (NEEC), an energy business trade organization located in Seattle, Washington.  Duane’s role at NEEC is Director of the Diagnostic Tool Lending Library at the Smart Buildings Center.  Duane is also managing partner of Lewellen Associates, LLC, an energy efficiency consulting firm specializing in energy education and building energy code compliance.

Duane has served as the Vice President and President of the Pacific Northwest Chapter of AEE and is a recipient of the AEE Region V Energy Manager of the Year award in 2013. Duane is an active member of the Washington State Energy Code Technical Advisory Group and has served on numerous boards and committees involving energy efficiency issues in Washington State.

Gary Hogsett, Adviser to Chapters

Gary Hogsett, P.E., C.E.M., L.C., LEED-AP, serves as Senior Energy Engineer for the Mid-America Manufacturing Technology Center. Over a span of 30 years, Mr. Hogsett has held a wide range of energy management consulting positions. He previously served as the State Energy Engineer for the State of Kansas, as well as an Energy Analyst for the Oklahoma Energy Analysis and Diagnostic Center. He has provided energy consulting for thousands of facilities while employed by firms such as Johnson Controls, Tetra Tech, CBRE, and Burns & McDonnell.

Gary is an accomplished and passionate public speaker and trainer, and has won numerous public speaking contest sponsored by Toastmasters International. In 2012, Gary served as the President of AEE and is currently a member of the Certified Energy Manager certification board.  He has also provided counseling to many local AEE Chapters.

Stephen A. Roosa, Director of Sustainable & Local Programs

Stephen A. Roosa, Ph.D., C.E.M., C.S.D.P., R.E.P., B.E.P., C.R.M.,C.M.V.P., is President of RPM Asset Holdings in Louisville, KY. His company delivers sustainable energy solutions, manages real estate and other investments, and produces seminars. With over 30 years’ experience in commercial energy solutions, he is considered internationally to be an expert in energy efficiency, renewables and sustainability. He has been involved in over $100 million in completed renewable, energy and water conservation projects. He is a past President of the Association of Energy Engineers and chairs the Sustainable Development Professional (CSDP) Board and the Renewable Energy Professional (REP) Certification Board. He holds a Ph.D. (University of Louisville), an MBA (Webster University) and a Bachelor of Architecture degree (University of Kentucky).  He is a member of the Energy Manager’s Hall of Fame. In his capacity as Director for the AEE, he assists state and local governments with energy policy development and in using AEE’s certification programs.

International Leaders

Larry Good, Director International Member Development

Now retired, Larry Good , C.E.M., B.E.P., C.E.A., C.S.D.P., devoted his career to better energy management in order to stop global warming. To this end, Larry worked as a consultant, developing programs at home and abroad that uncovered cost-effective opportunities. In Washington he worked closely with EPA, USPS, and FEMP to improve energy management in federal facilities. Later he managed projects for US, UN and EU development agencies on three continents, mostly in the former Soviet republics. The projects demonstrated design, financing and implementation of sustainable energy projects and national policies. For over 20 years Larry has served as an officer of AEE, developing its international network of chapters. Through most of the nineties, he was president of the National Capital Chapter in Washington. There, at the request of Senator John Glenn, he led a volunteer task force to recommend Federal energy goals and training provisions patterned on AEE courses, which went into the Energy Policy Act of 1992. He organized national conferences and other cooperative programs with FEMP. In 1999 he was inducted into the AEE Energy Managers Hall of Fame. In 2004, he served as President of AEE.

Samer Zawaydeh, Assistant Director for International Special Activities

Samer Zawaydeh is an Independent Engineer internationally recognized energy expert with 26 years of management experience around the world. He worked in the extra heavy steel structure fabrication of power stations and refineries worldwide and on developing several wind energy projects in Jordan. He is also working on energy efficiency and renewable energy utility scale PV projects development with large consumers and industrial entities. He worked with several private and international donor agencies like USAID, GIZ, EU on conducting energy audits for buildings, proposing energy conservation methods and implementing energy retrofit projects. This includes coordination between contractors, consultants and different stakeholders, developing site specific energy efficiency programs, maintaining strong professional networks with project team to ensure that scope, time and cost is achieve with high quality deliverables. And he conducted several in depth studies on energy and water sectors and the green economy. He developed training programs and trained over 13,000 people since 2012 in Jordan. The topics that included renewable energy and energy efficiency regulatory framework, project development, best practices, carbon emissions and climate change. He is a public speaker and a certified Carbon Reduction Manager, Renewable Energy Professional, and holds several other certifications. He continuously works on energy awareness, capacity building and developing clean energy projects that are secure and affordable. He is a committed volunteer to the development of the energy sector locally, regionally and around the world through the Association of Energy Engineers network. He served as president of the Jordan Energy Chapter (2015-2017), assistance director for international membership development for Middle East (2012-2014) and assistance director for international membership development for special project (2014-Present). In addition, he founded four student chapters locally and helped in the startup of three chapters regionally.

Rajvant Nijjhar, Assistant Director for Awards

Rajvant Nijjhar is an Independent M&V Services professional providing consultancy, training and general management advice to Energy Performance Contracts. She has experience from both client and contractor side and provides a collaborative approach to EPCs. The success of EPCs depend upon people – this is a people business, next the actual engineering measures, then the measurement and verification. Understanding the right M&V approach is key to performance guarantees. As a result, Rajvant gets involved in the standardization of International Standards and Protocols – such as ISO 50015 ‘M&V guidelines’’ and the IPMVP ‘’Methods’’. This volunteering is testament to the fact that her end goals are to promote energy efficiency and its effective measurement in the UK as well as globally. To date, she has trained over 350 M&V professionals, mainly in the UK, but also as President of UKAAE (UK Chapter of AEE) guides a motley crew of individuals of all creeds and backgrounds and experiences through their energy management journey and the specialism they desire.

Alexander Ovdiienko, Assistant Director International Member Development for the FSU (Former Soviet Union)

Alexander Ovdiienko, C.E.M., has been the President of the Central AEE Chapter in Ukraine since 2012. He is accredited consultant by Verkhovna Rada’s of Ukraine Committee on Energy, Nuclear and Nuclear Security, member of Public Counsils of Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine, National Energy and Utilities Regulatory Commission of Ukraine, State Agency on Energy Saving and Energy Efficiency of Ukraine. According to Ukrainian legislation Alexander is Certified Energy Auditor. He is engaged in development and implementing energy sustainable and non-carbon economic development projects such as improving energy efficiency, using alternative energy sources and development of energy market for more than 16 years. Alexander’s qualification and skills are the following: Business Development & Finance expert, Holder of Energy Saving and Energy Management Diplomas, Energy Efficiency & Renewable Energy auditor and expert, Life Cycle Cost Analysis and Adaptation of ESCO schemes to EE Projects in Industries, Utilities and Buildings. Alexander is fluent in Russian, Ukrainian and English. General professional experience includes: Experience of management, finances, commercial relationships and project management in Ukrainian and International groups. He has excellent knowledge of the energy actors and practices in the energy saving, renewables and the gas distribution sector in Ukraine. He is experienced in official international relations and in international cooperation projects on energy, energy efficiency and renewable energy, in responsibility of international relations and in European integration actions of a national energy, energy saving and renewable energy agencies.

Dr. Dusan Petras, Assistant Director International Member Development for Eastern & Central Europe

Professor Dušan Petráš from Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava-Slovakia, is the former vice-rector of STU and dean of the Faculty of Civil Engineering. Also he is the president of Slovakian HVAC-Association SSTP (Slovak Society of Environmental Technology) and the past-president REHVA (Representative European Heating, Ventilation Association). Currently, he is the professor at the Department of Building services and dealing with the HVAC-systems in buildings. His scientific work is focused on the energy conservation by performance of the buildings with respect to the providing the health and comfortable indoor environment. He is author and coauthor of 15 books (Energy auditing of Buildings, Renewable Energy Sources for Low-temperature systems, Low-temperature heating and High-temperature cooling...), 50 scientific papers in foreign journals/on international conferences as well as about 100 lectures in 25 countries in 3 world languages. Professor Petráš is also member of AEE, ASHRAE, Academy of ISIAQ, REHVA Fellow, he was also the Guest Professor in DTU Lyngby (Denmark) and Guest Lecturer in FH Pinkafeld (Austria).

Ian Boylan, Assistant Director International Member Development for Western Europe

Ian Boylan, C.E.M., C.M.V.P., C.E.A., is Director of Target Energy, an Irish based independent energy services company. His areas of expertise are energy management systems (ISO 50001), measurement and verification of energy savings, energy training services, and energy utility systems. He also provides specialist services and investigations for his clients on other areas of energy management. Ian previously was Energy Services Manager with Eirdata Environmental Services Ltd and prior to that served for 20 years with the Dept. of Defence Naval Service. Ian was the founding president of the Irish Chapter and now serves as the Associate Director for International Member Development for Western Europe. Ian has delivered energy training for AEE in Ireland and other European countries.

Dr. LJ Grobler, Assistant Director International Member Development for Sub-Saharan Africa Region

Dr. LJ Grobler is Dean of the Engineering Faculty at the North-West University (NWU) in South Africa since 2012. He heads the Centre of Excellence in Advanced Manufacturing that was established by the Department of Trade and Industry at the NWU in 2009. He is director of CFAM Technologies and founded ExtruAfrica in 2011. During 2007/8 he was the President of the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE) based in Atlanta, USA and was the first non-American to become president. He founded the Southern African Association for Energy Efficiency (SAEE) in 2002 and was president of the SAEE from 2002 till 2012. He became certified as an Energy Manager (CEM) in 1998 and a Measurement and Verification Professional (CMVP) in 2000 by the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE) based in the USA. He is registered as a professional engineer (Pr Eng) with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) since 1995 and received his Ph.D. at the University of Pretoria, South Africa also in 1995. He is AEE trainer for the CEM programme in Southern Africa and introduced the CEM programme in 2002. Since then he presented the CEM more than 30 times. Prof LJ Grobler received the Lifetime Achievement Award during the eta Awards 2010 in South Africa for his extensive involvement in energy efficiency through measurement and verification, his visualisation programme to show energy consumption in buildings, and for setting the benchmark for training and development of energy engineers. He is a fellow of the South African Academy of Engineering and has authored and co-authored more than 40 local and international articles. He has also presented and co-presented more than 50 papers at local and international conferences and seminars. In 2016 he was inducted into the AEE Hall of Fame.

Dr. Leonard Chow, Assistant Director International Member Development for Asian Pacific Rim

Dr. Leonard Chow, C.E.M., C.B.C.P., C.S.D.P., C.A.P., C.E.A, C.I.A.Q.P., has served as President of the AEE Hong Kong Chapter. He was AEE’s Energy Engineer of the Year in 2012. He is also elected as a Fellow of AEE in 2013. He has been the AA Chapter Course Manager since 2006 and the Assistant Director of Asian Pacific Rim Development. He has practiced as a Mechanical and Building Services Engineer for over 30 years. Dr. Chow is currently a Chartered Engineer in UK, a registered Professional Engineer in Hong Kong and a Chartered Professional Engineer in Australia. He established his own company ISPL Consulting Ltd in 1995. His company consults in Environmental (Energy Audits & IAQ), Mechanical, Structure, Safety and aspects. Dr. Chow is actively involved in professional institution contributions. He has written technical papers, guidelines, and manuals and has conducted technical seminars in Hong Kong, Tokyo, Beijing, Xian, Shanghai, Singapore, and Atlanta in recent years. He is registered at EMSD as a Registered Energy Assessor (no. 43) under the new Building Energy Efficiency Ordinance (Cap 610).

Dr. Binoy Choudhury, Assistant Director International Member Development for Asian Subcontinent

Dr. Binoy Choudhury, C.E.M., from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur & Fellow of Institution of Engineers (India), is Professor in the Energy Management stream of Master of Public Systems Management (MPSM) program at the Indian Institute of Social Welfare and Business Management (IISWBM), Kolkata. He served as Principal Investigator/ Coordinator in renewable energy and energy efficiency projects covering community development to industrial profitability/sustainability issues. He is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers (India), Certified Energy Manager (AEE), and Certified Energy Auditor (CEA) of the Government of India. He served United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) as Economic Affairs Officer in the Energy Resources Section and contributed to the regional energy scenario assessment, improvement of energy efficiency and CDM workshop. He is a contributor to books, journals, international and national seminars, and workshops. He is the founding secretary of AEE India Chapter and Energy Club and is life member of Solar Energy Society of India, AEE, Indian Society for Technical Education and Institution of Engineers (India).

Andres Ortuno, Assistant Director International Member Development for Latin America

Andres Ortuno, C.E.M., C.M.V.P., C.E.A., Mechanical & Electrical Engineer, is a business developer and partner in several firms related to the energy world: Consultancy, engineering design, sustainable city planning, energy audits and energy management. He is currently very involved and close to PV & electric storage sector as well as an energy assessor. Andres is President, Dean, board member and officer in several professional Associations, Societies and Institutes in Spain related to the Engineering and Energy sector. He is pleased to serve AEE’s Assistant Director of Membership Development in Latin America.

Dr. Fotouh Al-RaQom, Assistant Director International Member Development for the Middle East

Dr. Fotouh Al-Ragom, C.E.M., C.E.A, C.S.D.P., is Energy Efficiency Technologies Program Manager at the Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research (KISR). Fotouh holds a PhD degree in Mechanical engineering from University of Florida, Gainesville. She is research scientist with over 20 years experience in the field of energy conservation, energy efficiency, energy auditing, energy code, air conditioning and renewable hydrogen production. She led several projects in her field of expertise and earned international recognition. She participates in professional training nationally and regionally in energy efficiency and energy auditing and is currently is an authorized CEM trainer for Kuwait. She authored several papers and a book chapter in energy efficiency and air condition. She is currently a member of the national energy conservation committee “Tarsheed” and currently the chapter president for AEE-Kuwait Chapter. Fotouh received several recognition awards including the Emirates Energy Award and the Kuwait’s Distinguished Female Engineer.

Kaushik Bhattacharjee, Assistant Director International Member Development for Canada

Kaushik Bhattacharjee, C.E.M., B.E.P., C.E.A., C.M.V.P., works for Enersource as a Roving Energy Manager. He is responsible for implementing Energy Management Program for various industrial and commercial facilities.  He has over fifteen years of energy management experiences. He has carried out several energy audits and guided implementation of measures in various industrial (like plastics, pulp and paper, food processing, metal tube manufacturing, etc. and commercial facilities (office buildings, entertainment facilities, shopping malls, municipalities, schools, community centers, arenas, etc.). He has also co-authored two books on energy management, contributed articles to a number of journals and made presentation in several IEEE International Conferences and World Energy Engineering Congresses on Energy Management. He holds a bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering and is completing his Masters in Energy Management from NYIT, USA. He regularly contributes onEnergy Engineering, one of the leading journals in the Industry.  He has received the AEE Regional Energy Manager Award for Canadian Region 2010.
