Carbon Tax Workshop in South Africa

The Southern African Chapter of AEE, the SAEEC, hosted a third workshop this year on the “Practical applications and implications of the carbon tax” hosted by the South African Energy Development Institute (SANEDI) and sponsored by ZEST.

South Africa introduced a carbon tax in June 2019, and the SAEEC facilitated a workshop for members and the industry looking at the reporting procedures and requirements for carbon tax, looking at emissions mitigation case studies for energy efficiency tax incentives, with practical examples by speakers from Deloitte and Touche, Oelinga, Catalyst Energy Solutions, Climate Neutral Group. The workshop was fully booked.
