AEE Baltimore Chapter Field Trip to Alban CAT Power Systems

On April 26, 2018, the AEE-Baltimore chapter sponsored a field trip and a presentation on “Is Microgrid Right For Your Facilities Now?”

Over 40 chapter members attended the tour of Alban CAT Power Systems which showcases some of the components used in microgrids such as Combined Heat and Power (CHP), diesel generator, solar, battery and microgrid controllers. The presentation following the tour provided insights on the nuances of microgrid installation from several of Caterpillar’s case studies/projects.

Jim Libertini, VP of AEE-Baltimore presented a trophy to Vijay Vohra, Sales Director, Alban Cat Power Systems as a token of the Chapter’s appreciation.
