Chillers play an important role in cooling large buildings and industrial processes and are often one of the largest energy consumers in a building.  In this session you will get a basic overview of the different types of chillers available and the benefits of improved chiller technologies.  The session also includes an overview of the Vapor-Compression cycle that is the fundamental driver for all electric cooling systems, an explanation of the different compressor types, and strategies for reducing chiller energy consumption.
