György Sitku has extensive energy efficiency experience in his 30+ year career in the industry. This experience includes 15 years working for Hungarian Energy ESCO Company, 25 years as an independent consultant assisting commercial and industrial end users, 6 years working for a Hungarian Geothermal Company, 3 years working for a Hungarian Biogas Company and between 1995-99 and since 2021 as a lecturer in the Technical University of Budapest. During his career, he has received Legends in Energy award in 2016 Washington.

His connection with AEE began in 1998 and became involved in the Hungarian Chapter then he earned his C.E.M. in 2000. He served in several chapter officer positions, on the chapter board, and in 2001 was elected to a four-year term as AEE Hungarian Chapter Vice President. His involvement in AEE has included attendance of many international AEE conferences and presenting at conference sessions. György’s education includes an MSC Certified Mechanical Engineer from University of Miskolc in Hungary. György’s certifications includes a Certified Facility Manager from Technical University of Budapest and a Certified Energy Auditor from Hungarian Energy and Public Utility Regulatory Authority and a Certified ISO 50001:2018 Energy Management System Auditor from TÜV Rheinland InterCert Academy.
