Elton “Dale” Cranford, PE, CEM, is an energy engineer with Piedmont Service Group. His role involves serving new and existing customers in the estimation, analysis, and development of energy savings projects. Dale is a licensed Professional Engineer in the state of North Carolina, a Certified Energy Manager through the Association of Energy Engineers, and he was the 2019 Region II Young Energy Professional of the Year for outstanding contributions to the energy profession. Dale obtained his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Mechanical Engineering at North Carolina State University in 2012 and 2013, respectively, and he also served as a research assistant with the Industrial Assessment Center during his tenure at NC State. When not working, Dale enjoys spending time with his wife, Ashley, daughters Laura and Cecily, fishing, supporting NC State athletics, and cooking outside with his smoker and grill.
