Women in the Energy Industry. Luthin Associates, a Women Business Enterprise (WBE), was founded 22 years ago. At the time, it was unusual for a woman to play a major role within the energy industry. From the onset of my career the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE) was extremely welcoming and supportive of our organization. AEE has been a significant influence and stepping stone for all of us here at Luthin Associates. A majority of Luthin staff have had the benefit of participating in AEE courses to enhance our knowledge of the energy/engineering world and achieve certifications such as Certified Energy Manager (CEM), Certified Energy Auditor (CEA), Certified Energy Procurement Professional (CEP) and Certified Carbon Reduction Manager (CRM). We are always honored to attend and present at AEE sponsored events, such as the annual World Energy Engineering Congress (WEEC). Overall, AEE supports Luthin staff by allowing us to enhance our knowledge and as a result, we provide more effective assistance to our clients.
