CWEEL Lebanon Chapter In-Development – Step Forward!

The local chapter of the Association of Energy Engineers in Lebanon, AEE Lebanon Chapter In-Development, held a large magnificent event on Monday November 20, 2017 at Le Royal Hotel in Beirut, Lebanon. The Certified Energy Manager CEM certificates for the 1st course of 29 professionals that took the course and exam in late July were distributed, bringing the total number of AEE certificants to 39!
Four women took the course, and their success rate was 100%. Eng Sara Jaber, CEM scored the highest score in class and delivered a special speech on behalf of the professionals of the 1st CEM course attendees. With the high percentage of women working the labor sector in Lebanon, the CWEEL Chapter is next on the plans for 2018.
The event was held under the patronage of the Minister of Energy and Water, Mr. Cesar Abi Khalil, Ministry of Environment, Mr. Tarek El Khatib and Minister of Labor, Mr. Mohamad Kabbara. In addition, the Head of the Order of Engineers & Architects – Tripoli, Mr. Bassam Ziadeh, several mayors and professors attended the largest chapter meeting to date with around 150 attendees.
