Celebrating the Energy Auditor Training Grant Program Awardees: Empowering a Sustainable Energy Future

The Association of Energy Engineers (AEE) is thrilled to congratulate the state awardees of the Energy Auditor Training Grant Program, a vital initiative aimed at training individuals to conduct energy audits and surveys of commercial buildings. This program, implemented by the Office of State and Community Energy Programs (SCEP) at the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), has allocated $40 million to support states in training energy auditors who can help building owners reduce energy usage, promote energy efficiency, and offer energy savings.

The Impact of the Energy Auditor Training Grant Program

The Energy Auditor Training Grant Program is a crucial step towards achieving the nation’s clean energy goals, as outlined in the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law. This landmark legislation invests over $62 billion in the DOE to deliver a more equitable clean energy future for the American people by:

  • Investing in American manufacturing and workers.
  • Expanding access to energy efficiency and clean energy for families, communities, and businesses.
  • Delivering reliable, clean, and affordable power to more Americans.
  • Building the technologies of tomorrow through clean energy demonstrations.

AEE’s Commitment to the Energy Auditing Workforce

AEE is dedicated to supporting the growth of the energy auditing workforce by offering certifications, training, and continuous learning opportunities. As the EAT Grant Program shapes the future of energy auditing, AEE remains committed to providing the tools and resources needed for professionals to succeed in this evolving field.

Take advantage of the EAT grant funds and sign up for the CEA training course hosted virtually, on-demand or in-person in your community!

The CEA Certification: A Valuable Asset

As the awardees of the Energy Auditor Training Grant Program embark on this exciting journey, we encourage them to explore our CEA certification program. AEE’s Certified Energy Auditor (CEA) program stands out as a leading global certification for energy auditing, particularly in the industrial and commercial sectors. The CEA certification is internationally accredited and recognized by companies, organizations, and governments worldwide. It ensures that certified individuals meet the technical and ethical standards required in today’s energy landscape. Professionals who earn the CEA designation are positioned to make a significant impact in the commercial and industrial sectors by driving energy efficiency efforts.

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) has determined that the Certified Energy Auditor certification from AEE meets the standard to be considered a Covered Certification under the EAT grant guidelines.

State Awardees

As a leading professional organization in the energy efficiency and energy management industry, AEE is proud to support the Energy Auditor Training Grant Program and its state awardees. We believe that through these efforts, we can make significant strides towards a more sustainable and energy-efficient future.
