Corporate Energy Manager,
City of Richmond.
Thi Nguyen is the Corporate Energy Manager for the City of Richmond, leading initiatives to improve energy efficiency, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and advance the City’s net-zero by 2050 target.
His recent work includes LED retrofits at five civic facilities and guiding Richmond’s GHG Reduction Master Plan and Pathway Feasibility Study. Previously with the Richmond School District, Thi delivered innovative projects such as solar wall system and gas absorption heat pumps, earning recognition from FortisBC.
With two engineering master’s degrees and a track record of innovation, he is passionate about advancing the triple bottom line.

- Actively contribute to reducing energy consumption
- Lead or participate in sustainability initiatives (e.g., recycling programs, renewable energy projects)
- Serve as a role model by promoting sustainable practices and implementing improvements that reduce environmental impact
