Jai Anthony F. Martirez, PME, MBA, CEM, CEA is a seasoned Professional Mechanical Engineer, Project Manager, and engineering leader specializing in energy management and sustainable engineering solutions. As an ASEAN Certified Energy Manager, ASEAN Certified Energy Manager Trainer, and Certified Energy Auditor, he has led high-value industrial and infrastructure projects that drive efficiency, reduce costs, and promote environmental responsibility.
With over 17 years of professional experience, Jai has demonstrated strong capabilities in capital expenditure planning, engineering project management, industrial utilities, asset reliability, and operational excellence. He currently leads strategic engineering and capital investment initiatives at Japan Tobacco International and previously held key engineering and energy management leadership positions at Nestlé Philippines, where he championed initiatives in energy efficiency, utilities optimization, and sustainable manufacturing.
Combining his technical expertise with an MBA business perspective, Jai bridges executive strategy with on-the-ground execution, ensuring projects deliver measurable business value while meeting the highest standards of safety, quality, and performance.
Beyond his corporate responsibilities, he actively advocates for energy efficiency, professional development, and knowledge sharing. He currently serves as President of the Pambansang Samahan ng Inhenyero Mekanikal (PSIM) Batangas Chapter and as a Board of Trustees member of the Philippine Center for Energy Inc. He is also an international member of the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE).
His professional contributions have earned him several distinctions, including the 2025 Notable Alumni Award from Laguna State Polytechnic University, the 2024 Presidential Award of Service from the Energy Efficiency Practitioners Association of the Philippines (ENPAP), the 2022 Nestlé Global Sustainability Award, and the 2017 DOE Don Emilio Abello Energy Efficiency Award.
His work reflects a deep commitment to advancing energy efficiency, developing future energy professionals, and building a more sustainable future for organizations and communities.
