AEE Student Chapter at Al Hussein Technical University Wins 2025 RENEW MENA Women Career Catalyst Achievement Award

Cairo, 11 December 2025 — The Middle-East and North-Africa energy sector has a new benchmark for gender-inclusion excellence: AEE HTU’s student chapter was named winner of the 2025 RENEW MENA Regional Network “Career Catalyst Achievement” award.

The annual prize—often dubbed the “gender-equality Nobel of MENA energy”—recognizes initiatives that move the needle on women’s participation, leadership, and career progression.

The AEE HTU Chapter has cracked the code on turning female students into energy-sector founders, engineers, and executives. Its success is driven by organizing and moderating a flagship energy efficiency all women panel discussion introducing its pillars to 400 students on campus. Chapter board member—energy-engineering senior Ms. Anaam Rasheed Zamil—accepted the award.

“This award validates our belief that structured support and early industry exposure can dismantle barriers,” said Zamil. “We’re not just preparing female students for jobs; we’re empowering them to become architects of the region’s energy future.”

The chapter’s achievement is expected to inspire similar initiatives across the Jordan’s 19 AEE Student Chapter and MENA region in general, signaling a shift toward more inclusive talent development in the energy transition.
