The Association of Energy Engineers (AEE) uses artificial intelligence (AI) tools responsibly to support our work — for example, to improve staff productivity, help create and edit content, analyze information, and prepare meeting notes and summaries – all using approved and organization-managed tools. AI supports the judgment of our staff; it does not replace it. A person is always accountable for the work AEE produces, and AI does not make decisions that affect a person’s rights, eligibility, or standing without human review. We do not enter confidential or personal information into AI tools unless the tool is approved and appropriate safeguards are in place, and we handle personal data consistent with this Privacy Policy and applicable privacy laws. When AI has materially contributed to content we publish — that is, more than routine help such as spell-check or grammar — we clearly acknowledge that AI assistance; routine, low-impact uses do not require disclosure. We do not permit AI tools to record or transcribe our meetings, seminars, or webinars without advance notice and permission. Questions about this statement may be directed to ja**@*******er.org.
