AEE’s Certified Energy Auditor Program Recognized by DOE as “Energy Skilled”

The Association of Energy Engineers (AEE) is proud to announce that its Certified Energy Auditor (CEA™) program has been recognized by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) as an ‘Energy Skilled’ organization in the category of Home Energy Audit – Multifamily. This significant achievement underscores AEE’s commitment to promoting energy efficiency and equipping professionals with the knowledge and skills to excel in the field.

DOE Partners with Search Engines

The ‘Energy Skilled’ recognition is part of a collaborative effort between the DOE and major search engine organizations, facilitated by the DOE’s Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL). PNNL has been tasked with assisting in the operation of this recognition program and working directly with search engines to create a system that highlights companies with recognized certified professionals. As a result, companies with CEA-certified individuals will now have the opportunity to be showcased prominently in search results, enhancing visibility and credibility.

Benefits of ‘Energy Skilled’ Recognition

The ‘Energy Skilled’ recognition offers numerous benefits to CEAs and their employers, including:

  • Increased Visibility: Stand out in search engine results and attract more business opportunities.
  • Enhanced Credibility: Display the prestigious Department of Energy ‘Energy Skilled’ badge in your company’s search results.
  • Competitive Advantage: Be identified as part of a leading credential program recognized for its excellence in energy auditing.

Maximize Your Recognition

AEE encourages all companies with Certified Energy Auditors to leverage this recognition to its fullest potential. By being part of this program companies can showcase their expertise, commitment to sustainability, and readiness to meet the growing demand for energy-efficient solutions.
