Nasreddine Guerfala is a professional engineer with over 15 years of experience in energy efficiency and sustainability across North Africa, Canada, and the United States. He currently serves as Executive Vice President, Growth & Distributed Energy Resources at Edgecom Energy. Previously, he held key leadership roles, including Vice President of Business Development at TruGrid, Vice President of Pre-Construction at SunGrid Solutions, an EPC firm specializing in solar and battery storage, Director of Energy for a Toronto-based district energy company, and Manager of Strategy and Business Development at a major utility, where he led growth initiatives in battery storage and EV charging. His efforts have consistently focused on decarbonization, innovation, and the development of resilient energy systems. He has received several accolades, including: Energy Manager of the Year by Toronto Hydro (2017), Canada Young Energy Professional of the Year by AEE (2018, “Top 10 in the Last 10” Award by Toronto Metropolitan University (2023), Canada’s 2025 Clean50 Emerging leader (2024) Educational Background: Nasreddine holds: A Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Tunis, A Master of Applied Science from the University of Sherbrooke, and an MBA from Toronto Metropolitan University.
