Engineer Ismaila Wiafe is a CEA and a CIEP, holds a BSc in Mechanical Engineering, registered Professional Engineer in Ghana, is a Certified Expert in Climate and Renewable Energy Finance from Frankfurt School of Finance and Management, Diploma in Greenhouse Gas Measurement, Reporting and Verification, Member of the Expert Panel of The Integrity Council for the Voluntary Carbon Market, Certificate of Proficiency 201 Basics of Organizational GHG Accounting, Trainer for Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) and Assessor for the Ghana Energy Commission, trained in Steam System Optimization, Fan System Optimization, Compressed Air System Optimization, and in Occupational Health and Safety Management. He is also the person who drove the development of the Ghana Chapter. Although he is now a Past President, he remains a core member of the chapter team, steering them in the right direction to make an impact on the country’s sustainability goals. He also secured training contracts for AEE programs in Ghana and has represented AEE in a positive, respectful manner across Africa and internationally. He owns his own business and has been instrumental in getting Western African Countries involved in AEE, as seen in Cameroon and Nigeria being involved in AEE work at the moment. He also commands respect from fellows on the Sub-Saharan Africa platform, where we communicate AEE matters for our region, and many of the Chapter Presidents look up to him for guidance and advice.
