Holding a B.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering from Kuwait University, 1988. Involved in a number of projects in the field of power systems, solar radiation modeling, energy conservation and energy auditing with specialty in lighting systems and sustainable green buildings.
Worked in the Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research between 1988 and 2014 at the Building and Energy Research Center, Energy Efficiency Technologies Program. Currently Assistant Program Manager for the Water and Energy Program in the Research Directorate at the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences.
Member of the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE), the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America (IESNA), Chartered Institute of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE) and ASHRAE, founder member of Kuwait Green Building Council (KGBC). Holding Certified Lighting Energy Professional (CLEP) certification, obtained from the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE) – USA since December 2003, and currently is the Vice President of Kuwait Chapter of the Association of Energy Engineers.
