Woodroof points to a clear career pattern among CEM certification holders: many go on to leadership roles because the certification pairs financial fluency with technical depth. The certification’s reach adds to its weight. Woodroof estimates 20,000 to 30,000 professionals worldwide currently hold the credential, with recognition in roughly 90 countries, making it a de facto global standard in many of them.
