andres cooper is a Strategic Energy Management Consultant who is passionate about helping organizations minimize waste, maximize efficiency and engage employees in the process. In 2020, an employee engagement campaign he initiated and managed won an AEE Innovative Energy Project of the Year award. He is an AEE Fellow in recognition of significant contributions to energy management, and a past AEE International Energy Manager of the Year award recipient.

While at New Gold’s New Afton mine, Andrew initiated and led the first ISO 50001 certification at a mine in North America. Thereafter, the mine exceeded its annual energy objective each year. This was due to innovative energy performance improvement initiatives, as well as innovative ways to engage employees in energy management at the mine.

An energetic, entertaining and thought-provoking speaker, who has received many positive reviews, Andrew has been invited to be a keynote speaker and presenter at events in Canada, USA, Chile, Argentina, South Africa and the UK.  He has also been invited to be a guest on a number of podcasts. Saverio Grosso embarked on his career commissioning aircraft carriers for the U.S. Navy, subsequently transitioning into an engineering and consulting role within the energy industry. With a track record spanning over 20 years, Saverio has excelled in teaching, management, and leadership of energy optimization programs nationwide. He is a results-driven energy program developer, renowned for his published case studies and articles, as well as his pioneering work in piloting innovative energy reduction projects for city and state agencies. Moreover, he has successfully created and delivered accredited education programs to local union schools, city agencies, and healthcare institutions. His invaluable expertise as a trusted adviser has contributed to shaping legislation in support of NYC’s energy and carbon emissions objectives. Merging his experience as an energy consultant and instructor with his deep commitment to assisting others, Saverio’s mission is to drive industry growth through the development of tailored training programs that holistically address building operations, encompassing efficiency, reliability, and resiliency, while fostering a positive engineering culture.
