Abinash Gupta is a Senior Energy Engineer at ES2 with over five years of experience helping commercial, industrial, and municipal clients improve energy efficiency and sustainability. He holds a Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering and Management from Oklahoma State University and is a Certified Energy Manager (CEM).He has led energy audits, improved HVAC systems, and implemented energy-saving solutions using tools like eQUEST and OpenStudio.
Abinash also applies Lean and Six Sigma methods to boost energy performance and has contributed to research on digital twins for virtual energy analysis.His work has helped organizations save over 100 GWh of electricity and 1.3 million therms of natural gas, reducing nearly 43,000 metric tons of CO₂ annually. He also supports grant and utility incentive programs, helping Oklahoma manufacturers secure over $1.18 million in funding.
Abinash mentors students and young engineers and has been recognized with the prestigious NextGen Under 30 Oklahoma Award (2025) in STEM and the OSU-GPCOE Energy Champion Award (2024).Abinash Kumar Gupta is deeply engaged with the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE) at multiple levels. He was instrumental in founding the AEE Student Chapter at Oklahoma State University, where he served as Executive Vice President and Treasurer, helping to organize events and grow student participation.
Abinash serves as an executive member of the AEE Oklahoma Chapter, actively participating in monthly meetings, volunteering for initiatives, and organizing professional development events like Lunch and Learn sessions.Beyond chapter leadership, Abinash continuously advances his expertise through AEE certifications, regional and national trainings, and by speaking at various energy conferences. He also mentors peers and students pursuing energy credentials, supporting the next generation of energy professionals and strengthening the AEE community.
