Marc is the founding partner and Chief Technology Officer of Proisotec Energia SL. At this energy consultancy firm, he directs the Energy Efficiency Area, which offers Energy Management, Energy Auditing, and M&V as primary services. In the last 4 years, he has audited more than 600 GWh of electrical energy and 350 GWh of thermal energy, proposing energy improvements that have saved more than 100 GWh, representing more than 18.000 tons of CO2 emissions reduction. He had been the chief energy auditor for the leading Spanish wholesale food chain, which has more than 200 buildings around the country, as well as the audit of the Cathedral of Girona and of all public buildings and public lighting in the city of Santa Cristina de Aro. This year, they are auditing a leading Meat industry, conducting 28 industry building audits for 384 GWh electrical and 257 GWh thermal as Energy Lead Auditor. Marc has been part of the LEED team for a different project, a M&V facilitator in several EPC projects, or an ISO 50001 Lead auditor. Also, the government of Catalonia assigned him the responsibility of training more than 30 Energy Performance Contract facilitators for the European project “Guarantee” (https://guarantee-project.eu/), promoted by the European Union and ICAEN (the Catalan government’s energy department). Marc holds a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from the University of Girona, where he also served as a professor. He is certified by AEE in CEM, CEA, PCF, and CMVP, as well as an ISO 50.001 lead auditor. His services to AEE include serving as an AEE Spain board member since 2012 and as the Past president of the AEE Spain Chapter. He dedicated part of my time to promoting the ideals of the AEE association around Catalonia and Spain. He is very involved in several AEE committees (PCF Board, CEM JTA, …). He has been to AEE World 6 times and AEE East, once. He is collaborating with AEE Europe chapters through meetings and by traveling to visit and speak (AEE Hungary in 2023). He is familiar with all the Western European chapter officers. Marc is an AEE Life Member, AEE Fellow member, AEE Western Europe Energy Engineer of the Year, and AEE Spain Chapter Hall of Fame.
