Brian is a consultant working to improve energy efficiency for commercial and industrial technologies. Based in Washington, DC, he is a pillar of the local sustainability community, particularly at the intersection of environmental action and diversity. He strongly believes in AEE’s mission to pay it forward by empowering the next generation of environmental stewards.

Brian has led high-impact sustainability initiatives for large-scale events, including World Pride, where he helped improve waste efficiency by 83%, offset 250 tons of CO₂, and rescue 5,000 meals for unhoused DC residents. His work also saved 175,000 gallons of water and contributed to reforestation efforts on Indigenous lands. He now shares best practices globally through the World Pride Sustainability Coalition.

Across his career, Brian has directly helped save energy and reduce greenhouse gas emissions for 2.5 million people—an impact rare at his stage of career. He believes the future of energy management is intrinsically human-centered. Outside of work, you can find him at national parks or farmers markets.
