AEE Joins 180 U.S. Organizations in Supporting Global Commitment to Double Energy Efficiency by 2030

The Association of Energy Engineers (AEE) is proud to stand with 180 U.S. businesses, associations, and organizations in supporting a unified call for greater global action on energy efficiency. As world leaders gather in Belém, Brazil for COP 30, this diverse coalition delivered a letter to the COP 30 Presidency affirming its commitment to expand demand-side solutions and help meet the global goal of doubling the rate of energy efficiency improvements by 2030.

The letter, organized by the Alliance to Save Energy et the Business Council for Sustainable Energy, brings together voices from across the energy value chain, including technology manufacturers, energy service providers, renewable energy developers, financial organizations, consultants, and end-users. Their collective message underscores a simple truth: advancing energy efficiency is essential for meeting rising energy demand, strengthening grid resilience, reducing emissions, and lowering costs for communities worldwide.

AEE’s mission empowers professionals, advances technical expertise, and drives real-world solutions that move our industry forward. By joining this coalition, AEE reinforces its long-standing belief that energy efficiency is one of the most immediate, scalable, and impactful tools available to accelerate the clean energy transition.

The global momentum highlighted at COP 30, combined with the expertise and leadership of organizations like AEE, demonstrates that meaningful progress is achievable when the public and private sectors work together. AEE is honored to contribute to this effort and remains committed to supporting the workforce, technologies, and strategies needed to build a more resilient and efficient energy future.
