Ohio Capital City Chapter Tour of Denison University

Denison University hosts a 2.3MW-DC single axis tacking Solar Array owned and operated by AEP OnSite Partners and delivered to the University through a 25 year power purchase agreement (PPA). 100% of the solar output is consumed by the University, the array was placed into service in 2017 and produces around 3,000 MWh per year. As part of the project, pollinator friendly local vegetation was cultivated under and around the solar panels and is maintained as a pollinator friendly habitat by the university. The project uses a Next Tracker tracking system and REC 345 watt panels.
