Key workforce development programs are needed to train and prepare the workforce for these opportunities. AEE&#8217;s Certified Energy Manager (CEM), Certified Energy Auditor (CEA), Certified Building Commissioning Professional (CBCP), and Certified Existing Building Commissioning Professional (EBCP) are qualified to perform this work under the ordinance.<\/p>\n<p><strong>City of Seattle<\/strong><br \/>CEA is an authorized qualification for the City of Seattle&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.seattle.gov\/environment\/buildings-and-energy\/seattle-building-tune-ups\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Building Tune-Up Program<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Connecticut<\/strong><br \/>CEA recognized by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ctgreenbank.com\/building-solutions\/c-pace\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Connecticut Property Assessed Clean Energy\u00a0(C-PACE)<\/a>\u00a0as an acceptable contractor qualification<\/p>\n<p><strong>New York<\/strong><br \/>CEAs are recognized as qualifying team members standards for qualified auditors under the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nyc.gov\/html\/gbee\/downloads\/pdf\/energy_audits_and_retrocommissioning_final_rule.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">commercial building energy auditing and building commissioning legislation<\/a>.\u00a0\u00a0CEA is an approved credential for auditing and commissioning under <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nyc.gov\/html\/gbee\/html\/plan\/ll87.shtml\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Local Law 87<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Texas<\/strong><br \/>CEA is one of the acceptable credentials for required Independent Third Party Reviewer (ITPR) audits for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.texaspaceauthority.org\/for-contractors\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Texas Pace Authority Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE)\u00a0program<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>U.S. Department of Agriculture<\/strong><br \/><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nrcs.usda.gov\/wps\/portal\/nrcs\/detail\/national\/programs\/financial\/eqip\/?&amp;cid=stelprdb1046252\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Environmental Quality Incentives Program On-Farm Energy Initiative\u00a0<\/a>Energy Audit Requires energy audits to be completed by NRCS-certified Technical Service Providers and one of the qualifications to be a CEM or CEA.<\/p>\n<p><strong>U.S. Department of Energy<\/strong><br \/>AEE certifications are recommended in\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.pnnl.gov\/main\/publications\/external\/technical_reports\/PNNL-20956.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">DOE&#8217;s Guide to Energy Audits<\/a>\u00a0as Request for Qualifications (RFQ) requirement for consultants and firms that have expertise and experience in the field of energy efficiency upgrades to buildings and building equipment.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<h4>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tCanada\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/h4>\n\t\t\t\t\t<p><strong>IESO<\/strong>\u00a0The CEA is recognized as a qualifying certification in its incentive program for building system audits.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<h4>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tEastern &#038;
