“The greatest threat to our planet is the belief that someone else will save it.”
-Robert Swan

Robert Swan O.B.E., Record-Breaking Polar Explorer and Environmental Campaigner recently closed AEE World 2019 Energy Conference and Expo with a compelling keynote speech.

Robert is the first man ever to walk unsupported to both the North and South Poles. On December 1st, 2019, he will ski 300 miles to the Geographic South Pole. It will complete a journey he started 35 years ago. Robert’s expedition will raise awareness for the continued preservation of Antarctica and highlight the need for a clean and sustainable energy future for our entire planet.

Robert founded 2041, a foundation that has been committed to the preservation of our planet for over three decades. Its mission is to inform, engage, and inspire the next generation of leaders to take responsibility and champion sustainability.  Now more than ever is the time for action in policy development, sustainable business generation, and future technologies.

These ideals align with AEE’s core mission, his efforts humble us, and we find him genuinely inspiring. That is why we are asking every AEE member to follow Robert’s journey and support Foundation 2041. When Robert arrives at the South Pole on January 14th, 2020, he will fly an AEE Flag and send a dedicated message to our members.
