Jerry Eaton

JERRY EATON, P.E., is an Energy Consultant with over 20 years’ experience in energy, utilities, engineering and facilities. He has expertise in manufacturing, project management, process improvement and leadership/technical training.

Jerry is a US Navy veteran with 21 years of dedicated service (1977-1998). He served on board two fast attach nuclear submarine where he operated the nuclear reactor power plant. After leaving the submarine force, he spent 6 years training future nuclear operators. His final 4 years in Navy, he spearheaded the development and implementation of the Navy’s Total Quality Management (TQM) training program.

In 1998, he joined the Facilities Department at Mercury Marine Corporation, headquartered in Fond du Lac, WI. As Energy and Utilities Director, he was instrumental in developing and implementing a corporate wide Energy Management Program. He received the 2006 Wisconsin’s Governor’s Award for his work in Energy Management.

In 2007, he co-founded, and is the current President of, the Wisconsin Chapter of the Association of Energy Engineers (WAEE). The Chapter has won numerous awards including Best Expo (2019, 2017), Best Chapter (2016, 2013), Best Student Chapter (2016), Best Meeting (2015), Best Website (2014) and Most New Members (2013, 2010, 2008). WAEE has 36 Corporate Sponsors and 300+ paying members. WAEE has awarded over $85,000 in scholarships to students with interest in the Energy Field.

He joined LEIDOS in 2008, a Fortune 500 scientific, engineering and technology applications company. He assisted numerous large corporations (Briggs & Stratton, Harley Davidson, Miller Coors, Quad Graphics, Bemis and Kohler, to name a few) in developing, implementing, and/or expanding their energy management program(s).

Jerry has an A.S in Electrical Engineering, a B.S. in Nuclear Engineering, and a M.S. in Engineering Management. He retired in 2015 from corporate America and now spends his time with WAEE, Disabled American Veterans (DAV), teaching various energy management courses. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling and playing pickleball.
