AEE Arizona Chapter 2017 Projects

AEE Arizona chapter board member Wayne Dobberpuhl was selected as the Energy Manager of the Year for Region V for 2017.

2017 Energy Efficiency Project was completed at United Methodist Outreach Ministries New Day Center
A comprehensive energy audit in 2015 identified a number of savings opportunities. A lighting assessment was completed in 2016. In 2017, a funded energy efficiency project was completed with funding assistance from APS solutions for business rebates and the local AEE Chapter. The project yieldd in approximately $9,000 annual savings.

AEE Arizona Chapter also completed a project with U.S. Vets
The U.S. VETS-Phoenix/Grand Ave location was opened for veterans who desire long-term housing. This 134-room facility is in a prime location near the V.A. hospital and provides recreational equipment, a pool/spa, and other great amenities. U.S. VETS – Phoenix/Grand Ave has incorporated a clinical services program to better prepare veterans for independent living. The Clinical Supervisor works with case managers to enroll clients in clinical services. The organization partners with mental health providers to increase services in the areas of general counseling, anger management and grief counseling. Enhanced substance abuse treatment services is also be provided.

Andre’ House Serves meals to the community 6 nights per week with an average of 600 plates served per night.
