Tuesday, January 15, 2019
Thomas Wenning, Program Director, Industrial Energy Efficiency, U.S. Department of Energy
Join us for a webinar where we will be introducing the US Department of Energy’s (DOE) new integrated energy assessment software tool suite - MEASUR. This open-source tool suite is being designed to replace DOE’s historical energy assessment tools and will aid manufacturers in improving the efficiency of energy systems and equipment.
The MEASUR tool currently contains numerous calculators and modeling capabilities to analyze major support systems such as Pumps, Fans and Process Heat; capabilities will be added in the near future to address Steam and Compressed Air. This effort, expected to be completed in 2019, provides for an extensively more user-friendly, modern and versatile set of tools. In addition to cross-platform operability, the entire suite is accessible in an open-source environment to enable greater transparency and to promote 3rd party access and development.
