live teleconferencing sessions. ABOUT
THE SEMINAR What Is
LEED? What You'll
Learn at This Program... You'll learn about the LEED New Contruction (NC) Rating System, including each of the five major categories of prerequisites and credits. You'll get the facts on how the design engineering team can account for more than half of the possible credits that make up a LEED certified facility. The instructor will provide you with a step-by-step overview of the building certification process -- and specifically, what to do once you have decided that you want to build a green building. Also covered will be LEED for Existing Buildings (EB), examining how LEED EB differs from LEED NC, why its primary focus is on operations, and why it is of great importance to the energy management field. The specifics of the economics of LEED EB will be addressed, as well as the details of its system of prerequisites and credits. This seminar is intended to provide a foundation of knowledge for those interested in learning more about LEED. For those who may be interested in pursuing further study and/or achieving LEED Accredited Professional status, the instructor will explain where to go from here.
