Presented online in a series of four live two-hour time modules, this seminar is designed to provide professional training covering the latest trends and advances now being used to optimize the performance of commercial, institutional and industrial lighting systems.

You can participate in the seminar from your office, home, or anywhere you have access to the internet and a phone. You'll have opportunities to interact with your instructor and colleagues in real time during the four live teleconferencing sessions, as well as in the time between sessions.

ABOUT THE SEMINAR

Lighting systems are one of the largest pieces of the building energy pie. Many important new lighting products and strategies have come to market in the past few years that allow facilities to break the lighting power density barrier of 0.5 watts per square foot while providing excellent lighting quality. The full scope of this trend and the technology options available will be explored in-depth in this program presented by two recognized retrofit lighting experts.

With the wealth of new lighting technologies and products now being offered to boost energy savings and improve workplaces, there are so many options and so much conflicting information it is difficult to choose the right ones. This program will help you sort out which new products may be best for your specific applications, as well as guide you through all of the factors that must be considered to achieve the best possible results.

The advantages of high performance, high lumen 32-w T8 lamps over "energy-saving" 25 - 30-w T8 lamps will be investigated, as well as fixture retrofits, re-lighting, controls and more. This program will show how to get to the next level of energy savings by using spectrally-enhanced lighting, re-evaluating your emergency lighting and outdoor lighting systems, as well as using selected LED niche lighting products.

In addition, two trends have converged to open new opportunities for energy and cost-saving opportunities - the availability of simpler controls through improved technology and stricter building codes. The choice today is not whether to install lighting controls, but which controls to install. "Smart" fixtures with integrated controls, instead of separate fixtures and controls, will also be evaluated.

Sustainable lighting ensures that systems will operate at high efficiency for many years, but not all energy-efficient choices are sustainable solutions. This program will identify the best technologies, products and practices to meet both energy efficiency goals and provide sustainable lighting solutions.

The instructors have designed this program specifically with the goal of providing useful information that you can readily apply for immediate results. Case histories, best practices, and how to avoid mistakes will be discussed. Even if you have participated in the Advanced Lighting Retrofit Options online seminar in the past, this new updated version has considerably different and evolved information.
