| Philip Le Grand President |
Philip Le Grand , C.E.M., B.E.P., C.E.P., C.D.S.M., C.S.D.P., is a Senior Account Manager with Southern California Edison, one of the nation's largest investor-owned electric utilities. Phil is responsible for developing and maintaining customer relations with Federal Customers, including the US Navy, US Marine Corps, Department of Homeland Security, United States Post Office, & the Department of Transportation by providing them with critical energy solutions related to their electrical service. The Federal Government makes up one of the largest customers in Southern California Edison with annual revenue totaling more than $47 million.
Phil spent more than 7 years in the Army, including a tour in Korea. He began his career with Edison in 1982 working in the personnel department. During his tenure, he's worked in several different departments. His longest tenure has been with the customer service department specializing in the energy efficiency field. Phil graduated from Willamette University in Salem, Oregon, and received a master's degree in Business from Redlands University.

Eric A. Woodroof, Ph.D., C.E.M., shows clients how to make more money and simultaneously help the environment. During the past 15 years, he has helped over 250 organizations improve profits with energy-environmental solutions. He has written over 25 professional journal publications and his work has appeared in hundreds of articles. Dr. Woodroof is the Chairman of the Board for the Certified Carbon Reduction Manager program and he has been a Board Member of the Certified Energy Manager Program since 1999.
Dr. Woodroof has advised clients such as the U.S. Public Health Service, IBM, Pepsi, Ford, GM, Verizon, Hertz, Visteon, JPMorgan-Chase, Universities, Airports, Utilities and Cities. He is friends with many of the top minds in energy, environment, finance and marketing. He is also a columnist for several industry magazines, a corporate trainer and a keynote speaker. | Timothy B. Janos Director Special Projects |
Timothy B. Janos , C.E.M., C.D.S.M., C.S.D.P., B.E.P., is a Life member and Past President of the AEE. Over a span of 35 years Mr. Janos has designed and implemented nume rous and innovative mechanical, electrical and temperature control projects designed to save energy for his clients. Virtually his entire professional career has been dedicated to energy efficiency and energy savings. His extensive background features hundreds of very successful energy audits that have identified cost savings projects for major clients including automotive, industrial, educational and commercial facilities.
As the primary energy auditor for the Cleveland Non-Profit Energy Conservation Fund during the 1980's his company performed hundreds of in-depth surveys throughout Northern Ohio which identified literally thousands of opportunities. This fund offered no-cost audits for all non-profit organizations in Northern Ohio and provided both grants and low-cost loans to implement the recommendations. As Principal of Spectrum Energy Concepts, Inc., Mr. Janos is currently involved in a wide variety of energy-related projects. Mr. Janos' formal education includes Degrees from John Carroll University and a JD from Cleveland State University.
Besides his technical knowledge and success in saving energy, Mr. Janos has been a tireless promoter of the energy profession both locally and nationally. Thousands have benefited from the meetings, workshops, and lectures he has done or helped to organize. He served as AEE President in 2006 and for 15 years as Chairman of the Certified Energy Manager Board.

| Gary Hogsett Secretary |
Gary Hogsett, P.E., C.E.M., LC, LEED, serves as the Senior Energy Engineer for the Mid-America Manufacturing Technology Center. Over a span of 30 years, Mr. Hogsett has held a wide range of energy management consulting positions. He previously served as the State Energy Engineer for the State of Kansas, as well as an Energy Analyst for the Oklahoma Energy Analysis and Diagnostic Center. He provided energy consulting for more than 1,400 facilities while employed by firms such as Johnson Controls, Tetra Tech, and Burns & McDonnell. He has recently been appointed by the Governor of Kansas to the Governor’s Wind Energy Task Force.

Paul Goodman , Certified Public Accountant in Valley Stream, N.Y. h as served as Treasurer of AEE since 1977. He earned his MBA and BBA from Baruch College and served in various treasury and financial positions in industry and government prior to going into private practice. He has also served as accounting lecturer at Hunter College (NY).

Randolph “Randy” Haines , C.E.M., C.L.E.P., C.M.V.P., B.E.P., C.S.D.P., has 31 years' experience in project, maintenance and facilities management. The first 17 years of experience were in the metal working industry before moving to Thomas Jefferson University, an urban teaching hospital in center city Philadelphia. In 1997, Randy was promoted to a newly created position of Energy Manager for the Jefferson Health System, an alliance of hospitals and research buildings in the Philadelphia region covering more than 10 million square feet and 32,000 employees. This position was created due to the complexities created from the deregulation of energy in Pennsylvania and to save utility consumption and costs.
A University of Pittsburgh Industrial Engineer graduate, Randy has worked at Eaton Corporation, Mitchell Industries, Delaval Condenser Division and Thomas Jefferson University. He is President of the Greater Philadelphia Chapter of the Association of Energy Engineers, past President of the Trenton – Princeton Chapter of the Association for Facilities Engineering and a member of ASHRAE and the Hospital Engineers. He has made numerous presentations at the AEE national and regional conferences. Randy was awarded the International Energy Manager of the Year for 2004 from AEE.
| George (Buster) Barksdale Region II Vice President |
George “Buster” Barksdale , C.E.M., C.S.D.P., has served as a Senior Vice President at Primary Integration since 2005. At Primary Integration he manages the Energy Business unit which provides systems integration design and installation for major HVAC and integrated control systems projects.
Mr. Barksdale is a Certified Energy Manager with 25 years of experience and is proven at all organizational levels and at all aspects including engineering, energy management, knowledge management, logistics, construction, performance contracts, cost-type contracts, facility operations, diplomacy, project management, and government procurement procedures. Mr. Barksdale's knowledge of International and United States Government Operations was acquired through work with the Government of Japan and Turkish Government and all branches of the Department of Defense, the State Department, the Federal Emergency Management Agency, the General Services Administration and the National Security Agency. Mr. Barksdale's leadership skills are recognized by military, business and professional organizations. Buster previously served as Director of Federal Energy Programs at SAIC and Director for Energy Services at Louis Berger. He is a retired Engineering officer from the United States Air Force.
| Joe Harrell Region III Vice President |
Joseph “Joe” Harrell, P.E., C.E.M., is the Director of Utilities at the University of Cincinnati and is responsible for the production and delivery of highly reliable, safe, and efficient steam, chilled water, and electricity to campus facilities, research institutions and hospitals. Prior to working at UC, he worked for two large electric utilities Cinergy and Duke Energy where he performed various engineering functions. He also was a partner at Control Solutions a controls and HVAC ESCO. He has worked with many large industrial and commercial energy users to design, finance, and implement large-scale energy conservation projects.
Joe has a BS EE from Rose Hulman Institute of Technology and is a licensed Professional Engineer and Certified Energy Manager. He also teaches energy management classes. He has been an officer for 15 years, and is the current Vice President of the Southwest Ohio chapter of the Association of Energy Engineers. Joe was presented with the Energy Manager of the Year Award for Region III in 2005. Joe will soon begin teaching a course in Energy Engineering at the University of Cincinnati.
| Cliff Braddock Region IV Vice President |
Region IV Vice President Cliff Braddock, Chief Operating Officer for RobustEnergy, LLC, in Austin, Texas. Cliff was previously responsible for development of on-site energy services including district energy, combined heating and power, and distributed generation for Austin Energy, the City of Austin electric utility. A Certified Energy Manager (CEM), and a LEED Accredited Professional, he has served in leadership positions in the International District Energy Association, U.S. Clean Heating and Power Association, ASHRAE, the U.S. Green Building Council, and Texas Combined Heating and Power Initiative.
| Bill Younger Region V Vice President |
William (Bill) J. Younger, C.E.M., B.E.P., C.E.P., has been an active member of AEE for over 20 years. He has developed and taught several live and online seminars for AEE and is a member of the Energy Managers' Hall of Fame. Bill is a charter member of AEE and past president of the Pacific Northwest Chapter.
As Manager of the Business Energy Management Group for Puget Sound Energy, his main responsibilities are the development and implementation of all energy management programs for the company's commercial and industrial customers. He has managed energy auditing activities, motor system management programs, and provided technical support and training to commercial building operators, industrial plant operators, and energy professionals for over 20 years. Bill was involved with the development and promotion of the Business Energy Professional certification program and currently serves on the B.E.P. Board of Directors. He has been instrumental in bringing the West Coast Energy Management Congress to the Pacific Northwest in 2006, 2008, and 2010.
| Larry Good Director International Membership Development |
Because of energy consumption's direct impact on the environment, Larry Good , C.E.M., B.E.P., C.E.A., C.S.D.P., devotes his career to better energy management. He formed Good Consulting in 1994. Since then he has done independent consulting to develop programs at home and abroad that uncover cost-effective energy efficiency opportunities. In Washington he worked closely with EPA, USPS, and FEMP to improve energy management in federal facilities. Now he works in developing countries such as the former Soviet republics to demonstrate design, financing and implementation of energy efficiency and renewable energy programs. He has managed projects for clients in Armenia, Brazil, Georgia, India and Ukraine.
For years Larry has served as an officer of AEE, developing its international network of chapters. As AEE Member Director of International Development, he directly helps form chapters in the countries where he works and indirectly elsewhere. Through most of the nineties, he was president of the National Capital Chapter in Washington. There, at the request of Senator John Glenn, he led a volunteer task force to recommend Federal energy goals and training provisions patterned on AEE courses, which went into the Energy Policy Act of 1992. He organized national conferences and other cooperative programs with FEMP. In 1999 he was inducted into the AEE Energy Managers Hall of Fame. In 2004, he served as President of AEE.

Zohrab Melikyan |
Dr. Zohrab Melikyan , C.E.M., D.G.C.P., professor of thermal engineering, is an expert engineer in power, energy efficiency and air pollution control. He has over 40 years of experience in project design and implementation, and over 30 years teaching experience in technical universities. He has worked throughout Africa and Europe as well as the former Soviet Union. Zohrab is fluent in Armenian, Russian, English and French.
Since Armenia's independence from the former Soviet Union, Zohrab has been a close ally of American programs to reform the energy sector of the Armenian economy. In 1995 he founded the AEE chapter in Armenia. Dr. Melikyan has been Professor and Chair of the Heating Air Conditioning, Heat-Gas Distribution Technologies Department at the State University of Architecture and Construction in Yerevan since 1991. From 1997 to 2003 he was an energy management consultant for RMA/AEAI, a USAID contractor, in Armenia, and from 2003 to 2007, he was Project Manager for International Science & Technology Center (ISTC) project, “Strategy for Development of Environmentally Safe, Cost Effective and Sustainable Energy Sector of Armenia in the Situation of Shutting Down the Nuclear Power Plant” Project. He was the scientific-technical director of the program. From 2004 until the present, Dr. Melikyan has been an energy management consultant for PA Consulting, a USAID contractor, in Armenia.

Albin Zsebik |
Dr. Albin Zsebik , P.E., C.E.M., has devoted his career to energy management. Since 1983 he has taught in Hungary at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics. There he has distinguished himself as an Associate Professor and as Head of the Department of System and Control Engineering. Dr. Zsebik teaches upperclassmen and graduate students in the subject of energy efficient buildings, incorporating the latest technology in heating, cooling, power, lighting and system monitoring. Before coming to the University in Budapest, Dr. Zsebik did energy research in the Slovak Republic . He is a recognized authority in the field of district heating, long the predominant heating technology in Central & Eastern Europe. Also, as the CEO and manager of the consulting company "JOMUTI Kft", Dr. Zsebik is intensely involved in energy management, energy conservation and environmental protection. This work has made his name well known in Hungary and in Europe.
He has worked with the Hungarian Oil and Gas Company (MOL Rt), an environmentally oriented company making great effort in reducing energy usage, operating costs, and above all reducing environmental damage from CO2 and other types of pollutants. Dr. Zsebik is also involved in R&D project management at the University; system analysis of district heating systems including heat production, distribution and end-use; analysis and optimization of operation algorithms of control systems; mathematical modeling of energy systems; energy management of industrial, commercial and residential installations based on expertise and methods learned in America from AEE and his district heating network, Dr. Zsebik teaches and practices energy auditing and energy management in industry and the community sector. He helps disseminate the latest research results and best practice of energy efficient measures via the Journal Energiagazdalkodas (Energy Management Magazine), of which he is the editor-in-chief. Dr. Zsebik works in the Hungarian, Czech, Slovakian, Russian, German and English languages as necessary. Dr. Zsebik has been an AEE member since 1993. In 1996 and 1997 he served as VP of the Hungarian Chapter, then as President from 1998-2001.

Maamoun Al Sakka |
Maamoun Al Sakka , C.E.M., D.G.C.P., is president of the Egyptian Chapter, where he has built both the chapter and the AEE Certified Energy Manager program to a high level of strength. Maamoun is director of an ESCO that works in Egypt and neighboring countries.
