INSTITUTE (FMI)
The role of today’s facility
manager spans a cross-section of job responsibilities including:

FMI division of AEE aims to provide its members with industry information,

AEE Councils
Councils provide
a forum for the exchange of information in specialized areas.
National
Energy Policy Council (NEPC)
The NEPC developed recommendations for a Balanced National Energy
Plan.These recommendations are distributed to members of Congress
to help legislators make more informed decisions.
Energy Management
Professionals Council (EMPC)
The primary purpose of this council is to administer the "Energy
Managers' Hall of Fame," an award which gives recognition to
an individual for his or her lifetime achievement in energy.
Latin American
and Caribbean Council (LACC)
The purpose of this council is to promote the scientific and educational
interests of members in this region of the world through formation
of chapters and continuing education programs.
In 2001, LACC and the California Energy Commission sponsored Energy
Management & Cogeneration Project Development (presented in
Spanish) on projects in Mexico at the West Coast Energy Management
Congress (WCEMC).
