AEE's professional journals are now available by subscription in fully indexed online versions. These journals, including Energy Engineering, Strategic Planning for Energy and the Environment, and Cogeneration and Distributed Generation Journal (formerly the Cogeneration & Competitive Power Journal), have been completely reformatted for convenient online browsing, and are available either in HTML or PDF format.

Powered by MetaPress, the online journals offer many advanced, time-saving features, including key word search, linked tables of contents, and article abstract previews when available. You can also set personalized options, including new issue email alerts with links to articles, and ActiveSearch, which allows to you preset parameters to automatically search for content which satifies your specific search criteria as it is published. The system will send you notifications which can optionally include the abstracts and links directly to the full text of the available articles.

Online users may select among several options:

Option 1: Full Paid Subscription
Your online journal subscription enables you to view the complete, fully indexed journal right from your desktop, either as HTML or as a PDF file, and to use all system features. Pricing for online subscriptions, including access to available back issues (single user only) is as follows:

Option 2: Registered User (FREE: Limited Access)
As a registered user, you can "test drive" the system's advanced features such as new issue alerting, and access the complete text of articles on a "pay-per-view" basis. Pay-per-view cost is $15.00 per article. You can upgrade at any time, becoming a paid subscriber. (Subscribers have access to back issues as well as upcoming issues.) As a registered user, you can also use key word search to locate articles by title and view article abstracts when available.

Option 3: Guest (FREE: Limited Access)
You can also preview the system without registering. This option allows you use key word search to locate articles by title, and also to view article abstracts when available. (Note: To view full text of articles, you will need to be a paid subscriber, or to register as a user and purchase articles on a pay-per-view basis.)
